Aftercare (Healing Your Tattoo)

First 5 days:

  • Leave the bandage/wrap on for up to 5 days

Once your clear bandage is removed:

  • Wash your hands, then gently cleanse the tattoo with mild fragrance-free soap (Dial is a great one) and lukewarm water.

  • Pat dry with a clean paper towel (don’t rub).

  • Apply a thin layer of recommended tattoo ointment or fragrance-free moisturizer.

  • Keep it clean and lightly moisturized — avoid over-applying.

  • Expect some peeling and itching — this is normal. Do not scratch or pick.

During Healing:

  • ✧ Avoid swimming, hot tubs, or soaking in baths.

  • ✧ Stay out of direct sun and avoid tanning.

  • ✧ Don’t re-bandage unless instructed.

  • ✧ Wear loose, breathable clothing over the tattoo.

Long-Term Care:

  • Protect your tattoo from fading by using sunscreen once fully healed.

  • Keep your skin moisturized to maintain crisp lines and vibrancy.

Remember: Healing is unique to everyone. If you notice signs of infection (excessive redness, swelling, or discharge), please contact a medical professional.
